Some of Ergotron’s top tips for healthy working:
Build an ergonomic workspace – Adapt your home space into an appropriate work space. Invest in a professional grade, height-adjustable workstation. Add a flexible monitor arm and consider a second or third screen for a productivity boost.
20-20-20 Rule – every 20 minutes, look up from your screen and focus on an item approximately 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This allows the eye muscles to relax after being subjected to prolonged screen time.
Optimise your workspace – ensure your screen is positioned at eye level and at a 90 degree angle from any natural source of light. This reduces strain in the eye, neck pain and minimises glare onto the screen.
Set a timer – Prevent the all-day sit fest and follow the Sit-StandSwitch™ by alternating between sitting and standing every 30 minutes. Use a kitchen timer, your smartphone or an app to remind you to move.
Have a standing meeting – Make the most of your meeting time by standing. Take a lap around your house or head outside to increase your blood flow and circulation for a natural jolt of energy.
